Hi, I’m Kelton – proud owner and trainer at Kelton’s Doggy Trot!

With an ample amount of hands-on experience in dog training, walking, pet sitting, and kennel care, I’ve had the privilege of working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. My passion for canine behaviour has led me to specialize in obedience training, behaviour modification, and confidence-building—particularly for larger and working-line dogs.

My training philosophy blends structure with compassion, tailored to each dog’s individual needs. I focus on building trust, confidence, and clear communication between dog and handler. Through structured guidance and patience, I’ve helped many owners develop strong, respectful relationships with their dogs.

I hold certifications in Canine Essentials and Advanced Pet First Aid, and I’m always expanding my skills to stay on top of the industry. I’m currently completing Shield K9’s Reactive Rehab and Off-Leash Obedience programs, which focus on state-of-mind training, reactivity control, and reliable real-world obedience. I’m also enrolled in Arsenal Canine’s Pet & Work Training Courses, which offer advanced instruction in obedience, drive development, canine psychology, and the foundations of protection, tracking, and detection work.

Soon, I’ll be expanding my services to include agility training and—eventually—personal protection, tracking, and detection to better serve the diverse needs of dogs and their owners.
