Hi, I’m Kelton — founder and trainer of Kelton’s Doggy Trot.

I specialize in delivering real-world dog training that gets results. With hands-on experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, I focus on obedience, behaviour modification, reactivity, and confidence-building. My work is especially geared toward large breeds and working-line dogs that require structure, leadership, and clarity.

I’ve trained under Arsenal Canine through their professional dog trainer program, completing over 240 hours of direct instruction in obedience, tracking, detection, protection, and canine psychology. I also hold certifications in Canine Essentials, Advanced Pet First Aid, and BCDT, and have completed multiple courses through Shield K9 — including Reactive & Aggression Rehab, Rescue Dog Training, Elite Off-Leash, and Power Play.

My training methods are clear, balanced, and tailored to each dog. I’m experienced with all major training tools and believe in customizing each approach to suit the individual dog there’s no one size fits all method in effective training. My goal is simple: to give you a dog that listens, respects boundaries, and thrives in the real world — not just at home, but in public, around distractions.

Whether you’re starting with a puppy, need help with serious behavioural issues, or just want a dog that performs reliably, I’ll help you build a strong, lasting relationship based on respect, communication, and results.
